Posters created with processing code and recorded with ffmpeg. The inspiration for these posters is a mixture of Hauntology and old Swiss design posters. The virtual posters were created through mixing Swiss typefaces + with unused photos from across my body of work into a moving virtual poster with an official soundtrack.
The Hauntological themes are the feelings of faded memories. Virtual, synthesized, faded, meant to invoke nostalgia from a comfortable past due to a lost future while living in an unstable present. Think of it as a good dream you know you inevitably have to wake up from.
The official soundtrack for each poster are curated soundscapes that have a signature crackle. To give off a feeling outside of time" to discourage the viewer from being too immersed into the visuals. Don't allow yourself to delve deep into the allure of nostalgia.
In the end it's just images flashing.
